UniSey graduate Rajelle Barbe wins second environmental achievement award at the university’s 2021 graduation ceremony.
She was awarded with the SCR 10,000, S4S Colleen Morel Environmental Science Achievement Award sponsored by H Savy Insurance.
Rajelle who graduated at the top of her class with a first class honours, was pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.
The Colleen Morel award honours deserving graduating students, who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in the environment course and made valuable contributions in environmental management.
In 2018, at the beginning of her studies, Rajelle received the S4S Colleen Morel Scholarship Award for showing great determination and devotion towards her course and environmental sustainability in general.
“It’s such a great honour and achievement to win both awards during my degree. As an in-service students, it certainly wasn’t easy to balance my work, studies and passion for the environment. But three years later, I have managed to surpass my own expectations and succeed in my studies”.
The two environmental awards are a partnership of the University of Seychelles, Sustainability for Seychelles and H Savy Insurance.
